What changes when a PDF looks scanned

An electronic PDF can contain text, vector graphics and images. The scan effect renders each page as an image and adds a slight tilt and scanner margins. Paper noise can add a softer paper tone in colour or grayscale mode.

The appearance changes; the service does not add signatures, stamps or missing content. A visual scan effect is not proof that a document was printed or signed. Keep the original file if you need its digital signature or editable text.

Yes. Use colour mode; grayscale removes colour and black and white converts marks to black or white.
